Sockerama- last day Nov 8
Your Outreach Board is again holding a sock drive for the homeless. For the next three Sundays, (October 25 to November 8), there will be a Sox Box in the Narthex to receive your donations of new winter socks. Donations will be delivered to Mission Services.
White poppies are available in the Narthex. White poppies demonstrate the need for peace and an end to war. Wear them with your red poppy recognizing those who have fallen in war.
Community Carol Sing– Dec 6 at 2 pm
The Board of Outreach and Service invites you to add your voice to our Community Carol Sing at 2:00 pm on December 6. Following the music hot cider and treats will be served. Monica Admiral will lead us. Admission is free; however, if you wish you may bring canned goods, mittens, or socks for Mission Services.
Farewell to Susan: A message from the Moderator.
Please mark your diary for Sunday November 29th at coffee hour after worship, when we will take the opportunity to say goodbye and farewell to Susan, as she takes her leave of MacNeill.

At our November meeting Ruby will share an update on the Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer. We participate annually. Please join us for prayer, reflection and friendship. An extended time for tea and conversation will be provided. For details see Ruby.
A Note from the Nominating Committee
In the next few weeks, we will be approaching some of you to consider serving on the Church Council, either as a member of a Board, or as a member of the executive of Council. Our Boards are:
- Christian Education
- Deacons
- Management
- Outreach & Service
If you are not approached but may be interested in helping in any of the areas covered by the various Boards, please contact Brian Power, Nominating Committee Chair.
Interim Worship & Pastoral Care Arrangements
The following interim arrangements have been made for the period following Susan’s leaving us.
- Bob Bond has agreed to serve as Interim Coordinator of Worship.
- David Jones has agreed to serve as Interim Coordinator of Pastoral Care.
Planning for this period will be on the Deacons’ agenda for the November 4 Deacons Meeting.
