Super Fun Talent Show 3.0
MacNeill’s 3rd annual Super Fun Talent Show is coming soon! On Sunday Sept. 20 at 2 pm, come join the fun. Do you sing, dance, read poetry, play the accordion, or ??? We welcome you to share your gifts with us. Please email Monica (monicadmiral@gmail.com) and let her know your contribution to this event!
Help Needed: The Gathering of Baptists: October 24, 2026: MacNeill is the host congregation for the upcoming Fall Gathering, a day-long event. We are seeking your help as follows:-
- Setting up the Hall (with tables, for eating) on Friday evening.
- Provision of coffee/tea upon morning arrival; provision of a “coffee break” (with muffins) mid-morning, beverages for lunch, provision of a “coffee/tea break” midafternoon.
- Kitchen cleanup, ‘as we go’, but also following the event.
If you are able to help in any way please let Garth, Heather or any one of the Deacons know.
Note from the Deacons
A Congregational Meeting will be convened on Sunday Sept. 27 immediately following worship. This meeting is specifically called to address Marjorie Irwin’s request membership at MacNeill.
Hess Street School Breakfast Program- deadline Sept 28
Again this year, the Outreach and Service Board is promoting a food drive for students at Hess Street School. We suggest individually packaged treats such as snack packs, yogurt tubes, pepperoni sticks and energy/nutrition bars, (such as Cliff Bars). Please help if you can. There will be a box in the narthex once we return to MacNeill. The deadline is Sunday, September 28.
Gathering of Baptists Fall Meeting- Saturday October 24
The Fall meeting of The Gathering of Baptists will take place at MacNeill. The Focus: ‘to faithfully evolve’ as the Church. Everyone is encouraged to register and attend. Congregational volunteers will be needed to serve as hosts and helpers on that day.

Micah House’s 20th Anniversary Open House

Micah House Rides for Refuge
Join Micah House on Saturday, October 3 for our Ride (or Walk) for Refuge in Westdale! This family-friendly morning is a chance to get moving, enjoy the community, and support Micah House as we welcome and walk alongside refugee claimant families in Hamilton.

Jazz Vespers- Sunday Sept 27 at 4 pm
Our friends at St Paul’s Anglican will host Jazz Vespers, entitled Pennies from Heaven. Featured will be Jim Sandilands, bass, Adrean Farrugia, piano, Tim Shia, drums, and Jessica Lalond, vocals.
Restoring Landscapes, Strengthening Communities
As a member of Canadian Foodgrains Bank, Canadian Baptist Ministries joins with other Canadian churches and Christian organizations in a shared response to hunger around the world. As part of this shared work, we’re excited to invite you to the in-person premiere of the new Nature+ film, Restoring Landscapes, Strengthening Communities.
