The Stories and Practice of Wilderness
Sermon by Bob Bond
The Life Season of Barriers
We often build up FENCES
To keep invaders out
With many good intentions
But heavy clouds of doubt
A source of broad dimensions
Of life, we let them pass
Until we find the BARRIERS
Have locked us on a path
That disallows extensions
For others and ourselves
To hurdle through our FENCES
And break a passageway
Accepting fears and changes
That we once could never face
Yet once the BARRIER is broken
We embrace a better place
And wonder why we waited
For this great risk to take.
