Pathways Through Lent- Lent 5
Sermon by Rev. David Jones
Dunes Speak
Sifting sands lead me to the dunes,
Grasses whisking within salty breeze,
Footprints before mine are many…
Sliding, cascading towards the sea.
Can you hear joyous laughter?
Can you feel warm tears?
Countless emotions have trodden here!
Eyes closed, nature enshrouds marks of many
Guarding secret walks, shifting sand, reconciling reason,
Ever migratory sands of truth make their way
Displaying revelations of hope,
A chosen grain of sand among many…
Multitudes, yet counted, valued for itself,
Grasses shed their seeds
Blown near or far to take root,
Skies are clear, water calm, yet wait,
Thunder rolls, an unexpected voice,
The answer… For Us!
